Cómpeta

Cómpeta is a town with just under 4000 inhabitants. The town is known for its picturesque whitewashed houses, narrow streets and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Plaza Almijara is a public square located at the striking brown church. The square is named after the Almijara mountain range that extends to the east of the city and offers beautiful views of the mountains and the surrounding area. The square has a number of restaurants and cafes where visitors can enjoy local food and drinks. There are also numerous restaurants and bars elsewhere in the city. Every Saturday there is a small, cozy market with vegetables, herbs, nuts, textiles and ceramics.

About Andalusia

You go to Andalusia to dream away in the Giralda of Seville, the Mezquita of Córdoba or the fairytale gardens of the Alhambra. But the Moorish fortress that is located high above Málaga is also more than worth a visit. The wealth and beauty of the Moorish Middle Ages still radiate towards you everywhere. Also along the way you will come across plenty of white villages and special towns that are all gems, such as Ronda.

What few people know is that you can also take beautiful walks in the natural parks of the Sierra Nevada, between special trees and with surprising views. And if you know that "nevada" means snowy, you'll understand that you can ski here in the winter too!

And then the food... Calamares fritas, paella, fresh tuna for next to nothing, fresh fruit and vegetables from the country, yes it is paradise here.
